If being saved comes by the law, then Christ is dead in vain

Those who are truly saved have the indwelling Holy Spirit. They
were saved by true repentance from the heart, and as commanded,
placing their faith, their trust, in what Christ did on the cross
to save them.

For those who think they earn salvation by keeping the Law, that
God will owe them salvation because they kept the law, then
Christ is dead in vain.

Galatians 2:20-21 I am crucified with Christ:
nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:
and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the
faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself
for me. [21] I do not frustrate the grace of God: for
if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in
vain.

We must not fool ourselves into thinking righteousness, or being
saved and getting to heaven, is by the Law - such a belief is a
lie that rejects the grace of God and makes the death of Christ
vain.
